Sneaking Around with Veggies

I have a super-quick tip for you today.

Want to be a clever, covert mom and trick your kids into eating some veggies?  Search ‘sneaky pasta sauce’ and ‘sneaky pizza sauce.’ You’d be surprised what you can hide in there!

Puree veggies and add them into sauces and kids can't even tell they're there.

Don't have time to cook and puree?

Baby food is perfectly smooth and ready to use.

  1. In the UK I used to use baby food apple sauce when I served a pork roast. We don't eat apple sauce as a side dish but only as a sauce.

    1. The only baby food I liked as an older kid was Gerber's Cherry Vanilla Pudding. Mom and I used to eat it for snacks.

    2. I've put baby food carrots in boxed carrot cake mixes, just to make sure it actually has some nutrition in it.

  2. I do the sneaky moves because my kid won't touch any veggies unless it's corn on the cob. He likes to dip his pizza in sauce, so I have carrot puree for that sweetened with a little apple sauce. (Hey, he likes it!) He also likes smoothies and that's easy to hide veggies in too.
